Coach Mark started fencing at Michigan State University in 1975 and earned 3 varsity letters. He was a Big Ten medalist, NCAA finalist and competed at all levels from local tournaments, to representing the US in international competition as a member of the US Military Fencing Team (Air Force-retired 2006).

Coach Mark has studied under 2 fencing masters and is the owner and head coach of Eagle Fencing Academy. Previously he was the head coach of another club and an assistant coach at 7 fencing clubs across the United States. He is a life member of the United States Fencing Coaches Association (USFCA) and is USFCA certified to teach all three weapons.

He has trained fencers of all levels, from beginner level fencers to national and international acclaimed competitors. He has been the coach for several divisional champions as well as national champions in both foil and epee.

Multiple Divisional Champions in all three weapons

Numerous fencers to achieve national rankings

College and NCAA fencing scholarship recipients
